The Abyss Festival is a completely independent event, driven by passionate enthusiasts with the sole desire to share their love for rock and metal.

Revenue from bars and food stands, along with the incredible commitment of our loyal volunteers, helps us cover part of the significant budget for an event like this. But it is not enough, especially as we receive little financial support from public institutions.

Since the beginning of this decibel adventure, we have been fortunate to count on the invaluable support of many individuals and companies, happy to associate their name and image with a unifying event.

Coming by Car

For those arriving by car, a parking lot is available.

The parking lot is located 5 to 15 minutes on foot from the festival.

Since parking spaces are limited, we encourage you to carpool whenever possible.

Coming by Public Transportation

Line 234 of the Fribourg Public Transport (TPF) serves the "Hauteville, Le Ruz" stop, which is a 5-minute walk from the festival.

Hours

Thursday* from 16:00 to 01:00

Friday from 16:00 to 02:30

Saturday from 13:00 to 02:30

*Access to the Thursday evening event is free.

Camping & RVs

A small camping area is available from Thursday 16:00, lit and secured, only accessible to ticket holders; spaces are limited.
The wine bar is open on Saturday mornings for breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00.
The organizer assumes no responsibility in case of accidents or theft

Motorhomes: As spaces are limited, only ticket holders are allowed to park near the festival site.

Payment

On-site ticketing: payment in cash, by debit/credit cards, and Twint
Bars and food: payment in cash and Twint

We do not offer refunds, we recommend reselling your ticket via social media or on-site. Tickets will not be refunded or exchanged. All artists have confirmed their participation in the festival. However, cancellations or changes to the program may occur, but they do not entitle you to a refund or ticket exchange. The festival takes place regardless of the weather, unless weather conditions pose a danger to the artists or visitors.

Safety

Animals are not allowed on the festival site
Bringing your own beverages is prohibited, they will be confiscated
Fires or gas grills are not allowed on the site
Video devices are prohibited
Persons under 15 must be accompanied by an adult
The site is accessible to people with reduced mobility. (Gravel ground and access / without reserved platforms) For disabled persons requiring assistance, only the disabled person needs to have an entry ticket. (Disability = person with long-term limitations in movement or autonomy requiring assistance) Parking next to the main entrance.
Lake access is not possible from the site; the festival declines all responsibility in case of an accident
Boat access is possible outside the site but under the responsibility of the festival-goer

Parents or legal representatives have a duty of supervision and assume full responsibility for minors present on the festival site. The organisers decline all liability in the event of an accident.
The parking area provided is not supervised. The organisers decline all liability in the event of theft, damage or an accident occurring in the parking area.
It is strictly forbidden to climb on, sit on, play with or improperly use the festival infrastructures. The organisers decline all liability in the event of an accident resulting from failure to comply with this instruction.

Accommodation

The cities of Bulle (10 km away) and Fribourg (20 km away) – with public transportation access to the Abyss Festival – offer various accommodation options.
